7 January 2025 9.30 am – Additional SFC report on Mitigating the two-child limit and the Scottish budget
The Scottish Fiscal Commission will be publishing an additional report on “Mitigating the two-child limit and the Scottish budget”. The report will be published at 9:30 am on Tuesday 7 January 2025. It will include a discussion of the costs of the Scottish Government’s announcement to mitigate the UK-wide Universal Credit two-child limit from 2026-27 and of the impact on the wider Scottish budget.
Spring 2025 – Fiscal Sustainability Report (date to be confirmed)
Our second report on the long-term fiscal sustainability of the Scottish Government’s budget. This report will present include updated projections of funding and spending and will include a focus on health.
Late Spring 2025 – Scotland’s Economic and Fiscal Forecasts (date to be confirmed)
We’ll publish our next set of five year forecasts to accompany the Scottish Government’s Medium Term Financial Strategy. Our forecasts are part of the Commission’s main forecast publication series and will provide new economic, tax and social security forecasts as well as our fiscal overview.
